Find and fix the accessibility barriers in your online store.
Kerbcut analyses your whole store by page type, ranks what to fix first, hands your developer the change, re-checks the pages you fixed and keeps a dated history of the work. No overlay widget. No promise of instant compliance.

Why now
Accessibility is now an enforced requirement in both of your biggest markets.
website accessibility lawsuits filed in US federal court in 2025, up 27% on 2024. Most target e-commerce.
Seyfarth Shaw, ADA Title III tracker, Mar 2026
The European Accessibility Act became enforceable. E-commerce is in scope wherever the seller is based, unless it is a microenterprise.

Maximum fine under Germany's BFSG, alongside warning letters from competitors' lawyers. French courts issued the first EAA orders in 2026.

What most stores buy today
A widget that changes the page in the browser for $490–$3,990 a year, or an agency audit for $10,000 and up. Sued stores often had a widget installed, and in 2025 the FTC made one widget vendor pay $1 million over its compliance claims.
What Kerbcut does instead
It finds problems in your real templates, explains each one in plain language, writes the fix for your developer, and re-checks the page once the fix is live. You get steady, documented progress at a monthly price a small store can carry.
How it works
From store URL to ranked fixes, usually within an hour.
Add your store
Paste your URL. Kerbcut finds your pages from sitemaps, menus, categories, filters, search and pagination, and groups them by page type.
Analyse every page type
axe-core runs on each analysed page; pages built by JavaScript open in a real browser, which also checks colour contrast. Keyboard and screen reader tests need a person: you get the checklist.
Get the fix-pack
Issues are ranked by severity and by where they sit in the buying path, each with a code change or a note for the app vendor.
Re-check and track
Re-check the pages you fixed, compare analyses (new, no longer detected, back again) and follow each issue to the end. On monthly plans the analysis repeats by itself.

The checks run right here in your browser on a fictitious product page. Open the example store to see what Kerbcut finds, then apply the fix-pack and compare the two scans. To analyse your own store, order a Baseline Report or choose a plan.

What you get
Everything a small team needs to make steady, provable progress.
Ranked fix-pack
Issues on checkout and cart rank above the same issue on a blog post. Each one comes with the WCAG criterion, the element, and a suggested code change your developer can paste.
Whole-site coverage you can check
Kerbcut finds pages from sitemaps, menus, categories, filters, search and pagination, groups them by page type and lists every URL it found, analysed, skipped or could not load, with the reason.
Statements in your customers' languages
EAA rules expect an accessibility statement. Kerbcut drafts one from your real scan results in English, German, French and Portuguese, with more EU languages coming.
History and fix tracking
Every analysis is kept with its date, coverage and evidence. Kerbcut compares runs (new, no longer detected, back again, not re-tested), tracks each issue's status and owner, re-checks the pages you fixed, and records manual tests with who ran them and how.
What Kerbcut does not do
- It does not make you "100% compliant". Automated testing finds a little over half of accessibility issues by volume (Deque, axe-core study); the rest need human review: Kerbcut gives you a checklist and records the results, but it does not do the testing for you.
- It does not change your live site through a script. Fixes go into your theme, where they work for every visitor and every assistive technology.
- It is not legal advice. If you receive a demand letter, talk to a lawyer; your Kerbcut report will help them.
No developer? Our sister company does the fixing
Kerbcut finds it. Kerbstack: fixes it.
Some fixes need a person: real image descriptions, theme layout, brand colours that pass contrast. Kerbstack takes your Kerbcut analysis, fixes it in your templates with your approval, and Kerbcut re-checks every page. On the example store, the fix-pack cleared 9 of 13 rule types; Kerbstack's template work cleared the other 4.

FAQ
Does the European Accessibility Act apply to my store?
If you sell products or services to consumers in the EU, it usually does, wherever your company is based. Microenterprises (fewer than 10 staff and no more than €2 million turnover) are exempt from the service obligations. In Portugal the Act was transposed by Decreto-Lei n.º 82/2022. Whether it applies to you depends on your business; ask a lawyer. Kerbcut's reports are technical guidance, not legal advice.
How is this different from an accessibility widget?
A widget adds a toolbar and tries to patch the page in the visitor's browser. Kerbcut finds problems in your theme and gives you the fix, so the page itself becomes accessible. Many accessibility professionals and disability organisations advise against relying on widgets.
Do I need a developer?
For theme fixes, yes, or a few hours from your agency. Many issues, such as missing product image descriptions, can be fixed in your store admin, and the fix-pack marks those clearly. If you have no developer, Kerbstack, our sister company, can do the fixes for you.
Which platforms are supported?
Any public website can be analysed. Page types are detected from each page's content and address, on any platform; fix instructions mention Shopify where it differs.
What data do you collect?
Only the public pages of your store and your account details. We do not install anything on your site and we do not collect your customers' data.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the paid month; your sites, history and reports stay in your account, and Pro plans can export results as JSON.
